Vision

By 2025, disabled people in Britain should have the same opportunities and choices as non-disabled people to improve their quality of life and be respected and included as equal members of society.

Purpose

We are the guardians within government of the vision of equality for disabled people by 2025. We work with government, disabled people and others to realise this vision.

We coordinate, seeing the big picture, spotting the gaps and the synergies and keeping things on track
We create, and encourage innovation, making interventions, developing solutions, plugging the gaps
We collaborate, listening, involving, challenging, educating, learning and harnessing expertise
We communicate, and ensure others are heard; building relationships, raising awareness, winning hearts and minds
